Hello friends,
I have 3 cards and want to get some travel card which can help me saving few bucks on my next vacation. I have limited credit history and need experts advice before appying.
11 month with cap1 limit 750
1 month old navy 2000 (reported last month)
1 month discover 1500 (will report on 16th aug)
I keep my balances near 10-15 %
I know i should garden for couple of months but heard somewhere that having 5 cards help building very good credit file.
I already have 6-8 inqueries in past 1 year but willing to apply for 2 more cards. Please suggest, i am planning to apply chase freedom and boa travel card in aug end and sep end.
My score is around 680-700 range.

Amex zync... you should try for that one before the end of the year. If your income is good you could apply for a different charge card instead of zync... such as the gold or pr gold... the sign up bonus can be used to help with your upcoming travel. You may also look at the expedia or travelocity cards.. the inquiries are going to shut you out of chase and your scores aren't really prime enough for an amex revolver. That's my 2 cents
+1
Thanks, amex zync has some annual fees but i am not sure how much rewarding it will be for me.
Recently i have purchased few things for old navy, got statement, paid off all amount. Now i returned some stuff and my balance is in -ve, will this make any -ve impact if i get statement in -ve amount??
SDFCU and BoA Travel Rewards are the 2 best.
$0 annual fee, 0% foreign transaction fee, EMV, rewards
SDFCU is a better card with a much lower interest rate and allowing EMV PIN transactions, but you might not qualify for this with limited credit history.
Anyone who can clarify on -ve balance?

5 cards aren't needed to build credit. You have more than enough for credit building. As for saving money on vacation via travel card, what do you mean? If you mean saving by getting miles or hotel points so you get free flights and/or hotel rooms, then a bunch of earlier cards recommended aren't good fits.

There is no such thing. You can have a great credit history with only 2 cards. Apply for credit card that you are going to use, not for these nonsense rumors.

I do NOT recommend AMEX charge card nor Barclays Travelocity for OP. For AMEX charge card to be worth it OP must be a frequent travelers, and usually loyal to one or two airliners. My experiences with Barclays is that beside Apple CC all other Barclays CCs deny people with thin file with no room to recon.
My recommendation is to wait for couple months, then app for BofA Travel Rewards. You probably will be denied on the spot, but BofA recon is usually pretty good. Alternatively PC that Discover card into Discover Miles. Is that Capital One card a Newcomer card (earns 2% cashback on airline tickets?)
Generally I do NOT recommend miles card (with the exception of BofA Travel Rewards and Discover Miles) and airliners card unless you are a frequent traveler. Cashback is much better for occasional traveler.
