I did not have same luck with Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo.
They refused to lower it.
BOA will reduce APRs, but you will likely need to speak with a senior analyst to make it happen. For them, I think DTI and credit seeking have a lot to do with it. A few years ago I was able to get down from low 20s to upper teens on my Travel Rewards card with scores in 820s-830s. I have found it amusing that they'll trust me with $99,900 in revolving limits but not a 14.99% APR. ![]()
