Neiman Marcus CLI

My DW got approved for Neiman Marcus, I know it's Capital One who manages that account but it was only a $3700 approval and her Saks currently sits at 8.5K, how long should she wait for a CLI?

Re: Neiman Marcus CLI

It's the private label arm of Capital One (different group altogether) so it doesn't follow the same review rules as Capital One legacy cards.  $3,700 isn't bad IMO but they're not required to match the Saks CC just because her CL is $8.5K on that one.  Typically, a CLI can be reviewed within 6+ months from account opening (in some cases it could be earlier but YEMV).  Your DW can contact NM and see if there's a SP CLI offer available at that point and they'll confirm.  The more she uses the card, the best possibility for a good outcome.

Re: Neiman Marcus CLI

I was approved for $700. It took a year for them to finally give me a CLI after several FAILED attempts. I'm now at $2100. Will try again in 6 months. FYI, I use the card a lot and PIF and on time so I'm not sure why it took so long to approve a CLI.

Re: Neiman Marcus CLI

I got the 700 dollar approval a year ago and was able to bump it to 1500. But they aren't very giving to me. 3700 is good for them off the bat. I still find it interesting they don't list the limit on your statement or even when I was approved

Re: Neiman Marcus CLI

Congratulations on your Neiman Marcus CLI! Wonderful. Keep using the card amd paying in full and it will grow. Smiley Happy

Mine is at $9,500 and sad to say in 2017 I plan to close it. I only have two store cards and plan to close them both as I am streamlining my credit and keeping the cards that benefit my profile most. Smiley Happy
