New BofA Accelerated Cash Back AmEx

I've been away from the boards for a week or so, so if this has already been posted and I'm repeating, then my bad and apologies and mods please feel free to delete.

BofA is now offering a cash-back-only version of their Accelerated Rewards AmEx:

FYI, FWIW.

Purty silver card - may see if I can switch my Plat Plus to it!  Smiley Wink

Happy Friday, everyone!

Re: New BofA Accelerated Cash Back AmEx

Nice find, scapegrace, and welcome back!

At this point, I have to assume they're actually trying to rub it in my face. Smiley Tongue

I did think of you when I saw it promo'd on their site.  Smiley Very Happy  Poor Cheddar.

However, I'm sure that shiny new Citi Plat AmEx is a comfort! Smiley Wink

For myself, I'm interested in this one because it might be a better cash-back match for me than most cards that reward gas purchases (I live car-free), such as the PenFed cash back card I'm waiting to re-app for in the CCUC, or the other, more general cards that only give 1% on everything.

Times like this, though, I wish I were less of an English major - every bit of math I ever learned in all my AP courses in high school seems to have vacated my skull, so I don't even know how to figure out which card gives the best deal, per dollar.  *sigh*  Thank heavens for people like you who seem to be able to do it in their sleep and post on here!!  Smiley Happy

Re: New BofA Accelerated Cash Back AmEx

Okay, I seem to be missing some key element here. What's so impressive about a card that gives 1.25% cash back? Was there another discussion I missed?

I am however interested in the possiblity of switching from my boring no rewards BofA visa to another product. Just been too lazy to make the call(s)....you know how one tells you yes and another says no!

I posted about it not because I thought it was 'impressive' on its rewards, but because it's a new card for consideration by those interested in cash-back cards.

Not sure if other posters thought its rewards were 'impressive' or just like the look of it. Smiley Wink

Re: New BofA Accelerated Cash Back AmEx

I wasn't really directing the comment towards you. It seemed that the other posters thought it was a pretty sweet deal and i couldn't figure out why. Though I went to visit the BofA site and it seems that 1.25% is the highest reward they give...so maybe that's why.

Re: New BofA Accelerated Cash Back AmEx

It's so cool looking!

Plus, 1.25 percent back on all purchases is better than the vanilla Platinum Plus cards.

I am thinking hard about donating some of my 19.5K CL on my Platinum Plus MC to open one of those.
