It's definitely more useful to the average person than their other offerings (IMO).  Wouldn't be a bad first card for someone.

I had a chat with CS who confirmed existing lore: USAA does not allow product changes.  Too bad, as I only use my two USAA cards for the $0.99 balance adjustment every month.

Not a terrible card.  But many of us can get 5% in a lot of these categories (albeit using multiple cards).  The $3000 spend cap / quarter surprises me a little as typically 3% category cards are unlimited.  Like the Savor (which has 4 out of these cats alone, including less restrictive entertainment).  But not bad for someone who wants one card for 8 (more like 10) cats, is okay with 3%, and doesn't spend more than the cap.

Everyday 5% CB:
Chase prime Visa // citi CUSTOM CASH “A” // citi CUSTOM CASH “B” // citi CUSTOM CASH “C” // citi ThankYou (5% gas, lucrative spending offers) // mylowe’s Rewards // Target circle card

Rotating 5% CB:
Chase “OG” freedom Visa // DISCOVER it Cash Back // nusenda CU Platinum Cash Rewards

Everyday 4% CB:
US Bank Smartly (v1.0)

Everyday 3% / 2.2% CB:
AOD FCU Visa Signature (3%, sockdrawered) // upgrade Cash Rewards Elite (2.2%, sockdrawered)

Welcome Offer / credits only:
NFCU FLAGSHIP REWARDS (elevated Welcome Offer, annual prime credit, sockdrawered)

Hotel card:
Chase IHG ONE REWARDS PREMIER (elevated Welcome Offer, 1 free night/yr)

On my radar:
Langely FCU Signature Cash Back (5% CB monthly selectable cat) // Safe CU Cash Back+ (Quarterly rotating 5% CB cats plus bonus cats) // upgrade MyFive Cash Rewards (5% CB monthly selectable cat) // US Bank Kroger (and family) World Elite Master Card(s) (5% CB Mobile Wallet)

Yep, it's actually a pretty good card that I'd love to PC one of my old USAA cards over to, but it's not good enough for me to do a new app.

If only USAA would join the modern banking world and start allowing PCs... I guess a guy can wish, ha. Smiley Indifferent
