Perfect timing here - I applied for it a little while ago, got the card and activated it and it hit my EX report today with a zero balalnce and already over a month old (the opening date was 1/1/09 (Thank you Amex Credit Secure).
So my last ever pull of my EX score will actually be up to date!!
Congrats on the new TL.
I hear you on the EX thing too. I am actually going to freeze my EXP. If they don't want to share my true FICO with me, I don't want to share thier report with anyone.

I am not freezing mine - it might upset Amex!
Ps. EX says that a freeze does not effect current credit accounts... they will still be able to soft or hard your EX even with a freeze. but that information does not provide me with a link to actually put in place the freeze.?!
This is my first time posting so I'm hoping this goes through. I am enclosing the link to the Experian credit freeze site. Scroll to the bottom of the written paragraphs and you will see a drop down box asking you to select your state. It should then open a new page and allow you to enter your personal information and show you the costs associated with freezing and unfreezing your reports. In Arizona it is $5 but it can range from $0-$10 and I think it is free if you can prove that you are a victim of identity theft. I had to try it twice before it finally went through, but I know it did since I am not able to access my report through myFico anymore. A moot point in a few days anyway. http://www.experian.com/consumer/security_freeze.html
As a side note, I received a letter from Equifax yesterday informing me that they were unable to process my freeze request as they needed additional information (does this sound familiar when dealing with them?). I noticed that they had no problem processing the $5 dollar charge from my checking account. I called to see if I could do anything to expedite the placement and the woman who answered wanted to know what my pin number was. I said, "if you are requesting my pin number, you must have placed the freeze on my account already." She said yes and wanted to know what the purpose of my call was.
As incompetent as these CRA's are, expect a government bailout for them soon.
