NewEgg Credit ??

Looking at NewEgg for a new computer. I was wondering how their credit works. Is it a typical revolver? Do the balance and CL report?

Which CRB do they pull?

Thanks! Smiley Happy

Re: NewEgg Credit ??

It's a good card.  It's issued by CIT bank.  It's not the easiest card to get though, I wouldn't apply with out at least a 680.  They pull Equifax 95% of the time, have seen an instance of a TU pull but bet on Equifax.  It does report everything.

Re: NewEgg Credit ??

I love me some newegg, other than this site, that's probably the site I spend hours at... even if I don't need a computer.

I'm pretty sure it does report to all 3 though.

I thought Newegg was a hidden tradeline but I could be wrong

checkout TigerDirect.com also has good computer deals, apply for a TigerDirectPrefered account, its though BillMeLater I got approved for a 4k account before christmas. They have 0% interest deals all the time. Also they don't report unless you mis a payment. So doesn't effect your UTL like a regular card would. And you are free to use 90% of your credit line with no negative effect on your score I don't remember what they pulled but I think it was 1 or 2 HP's to get the account.

That sounds like a good alternative than using CC's! Maybe next year i'll try it out when my INQ's are lower.

Re: NewEgg Credit ??

They pull EQ.  It is a hidden tradeline that does not report.  I have 4k for about 2 years now.

Re: NewEgg Credit ??

Ive had my newegg account for years. I love it and im always buying new parts or builds. Hardcore geek gamer over here! However it is a hidden tradeline for me. Always 6 months deferred on $299 and up and quick shipping. Do it!

Re: NewEgg Credit ??

Yeah, its a hidden tradeline, doesnt report (unless you default of course).  I have 2 accounts wih them newegg and macmall and they are great, easy approval in my opinion.
