no
capital one was in my ch 13, and it's reporting incorrectly on my credit... fixed on TU but I have been fighting with CR and Capital One for EX AND EQ. I was thinking about freezing EX and EQ and trying to apply again... because when I'm declined I never get "bad account with Capital One" I get stuff like bk, collections, etc.
WOW..............I am speechless, so the key is to show large usage? Let it show huge balance???? or keep paying it several times a month????
I'm really not sure the trick with them. We started out using it and paying it off in full several times a month. Lately we havent had the funds to pay off in full and have only been paying slightly more than the min so it was pretty much maxed out at the time of the increase.
I checked mine and got no increases from either of my cards. Creditaddict try freezing exp and tu and apply thats what I did for both my cards and got approved with only pulling eq. And I burned them a few years back and never paid back in the bad years.
My larger one, I had about 1/2 to 3/4 use on it without ever paying the balance off on it when they raised it. The $600 one, I would run it up to over $500, pay it off, sometimes multiple times in a month. I didn't think that one was EVER going to go up!
That furthers the belief that Cap One hates me ![]()
I've had my piddly little $750 limit for a year, the annual fee bills on the 1st of Oct.
My scores are probably about 100 points higher than when I applied.
LOL....I've paid bill on time for 6 years and they finally gave me one....granted...it was worth the wait![]()
this message gave me hope and I checked mine but no luck
..I started out with $300 in 2004 and it went up to $750 in 2005 but no increase in the past 5 years even with paying in full every month for the past year or so.. I think they are getting ready to get the axe even if they are my oldest card! ![]()

Same here KHW. I opened my card in 2000 with a $300 limit. I received an increase to $500 in 2005 and to $750 in 2008.
Congratulations on your huge cli, I am surprised I did not know that Cap 1 gave such large cli's like that, or is it if you carry the platinum card, does any know if this card is considered a prime card, I went on the Cap 1 card pre-select site and this card came up for pre-qualification for me, I am questioning if I should take my chance and apply.
