No More Multiple Home Depot Cards

Shopping at Home Depot the self serve cashier guard asked if I wanted to apply for a card. I mentioned I had two and didn't want another. She informed me that only one card was now allowed. I asked if one of my cards would be cancelled. She said within a year.  Looks like I'll be losing another $8K in CL and two 10% coupons in discounts. Goodbye $225+ CL.

Thanks for this info. My spouse has 2 HD cards. To be proactive is it possible to transfer CL from newest to oldest card, then self-cancel the newest card?

@GreatLife  I was actually going to do that a couple of weeks ago. Now I just might. HD is my go to place.

I just got a home depot card flyer in the mail today. With citi. I'm not much for a hard pull without a sub. I tend to prefer Menards, but hd is closer. Ace hw is closer still, I could walk there on a nice day. I try to stay out of those places, usually involves work!

@FicoMike0  I've posted this before, my second card allowed me to purchase a ladder for undef $30 with all my new card discounts. Regular price was $150. $120+ instant SUB was ok by me. 😁
