No More Synchrony Bank Luv????

All of my Synchrony bank store cards (Lowes, Walmart, Sams Club, Amazon, etc) will not allow CLI on them.  It has been over 6 months since my CLI to 5K on all cards via chat.  Each time I hit the luv button on all accounts I get the message "we are sorry we cannot authorize a credit limit increase on this account" message immediately.  What is up with Synchrony Bank?  I've made more than the minimum payments and my util is low.  What gives??  My scores are all >650.  Mmmmm.....  I have tried again via chat as well with no luck.

This is a data point I've been making about Synchrony over the last couple of months: If your TU score is below 670 at the moment or on you last SPs, you may be at or over the max they're willing to give for that score. The max for most store cards is $3500--Lowe's $12000, and Visas and M/Cs $2000 with a TU below 670. I know b/c my TU has been under 670 for some time and that's the max theyj'll give me for my 4 Synch. accounts. Others have noticed this also. If you're above 700 they'll give you whatever you ask for practically.

You may have a point, i have been watching the same thing too. As of today TU at 665 i think, few points short of being GOOD credit which is 670. My Lowes went up from $300 SL to $5K. My Amazon at $6K ($800->$3500->$6000 in a matter of 2 months), My belk, just received the card in the mail $300 SL to $5K in a week, Walmart $150 SL, to $3500 in a few weeks and no cli since 9/24/15 Sam's Club started at $637 and no CLI since then (less than a month old) So i will do my rounds of CLI Requests tomorrow morning and update it here see if i get any cli's. If not, i will wait until my TU Fico hits 680 which should not be too long. I have almost $35K revolving accounts with under 2% utilization.

Edit: All my increses have been thru chat except Belk which does not have the chat future. Love button has never worked for me. And i have been asking for cli's fairly often to allow any time for an auto love! So for me, chat is the only way to go unless i am stuck at a CL for too long.

Teehee, doing the CLI rounds. I used that term last week.

Does anyone know how each sync cares about multiple requests?

I noticed the same, actually. My scores were slightly below 650 and the most they would give on the cards I used more (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Amazon) was $3500.  I also have a JCPenney card that was bumped to the max of $3000. (I don't know if use is really a factor here but I'm just happening to use it as a basis of comparison.)

Cards I used slighly less were bumped up to max of $2,000 (TJX Rewards, American Eagle)

Cards that were just opened this year (Lowe's) weren't getting any increases at all.

Fast forward to last week. The last baddie fell off TU, and I was sure I got a score increase but I wasn't sure to what yet. So, I go to the chat again and was able to get increases on the following. I asked for $10,000 and got mostly counter offers.

  • Walmart: $6000
  • Gap: $6000
  • Banana Republic: $6000
  • Old Navy: $6000
  • Amazon: $5000
  • JCPenney: $3500
  • TJX: $3500
  • American Eagle: $3500
  • Lowe's: $10,000

I was trying to wait for the letters to see what my new score was. I haven't received them yet but Walmart posted my updated score yesterday. It is 692.

Scores 5/15/2016 (clean reports!): TU Walmart FICO: 696 | EQ FICO: 679 | EX AMEX FICO: 680

In my new wallet: American Express Green EMV: PSL $2000 | BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa EMV: $2500 | Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard: $6400 | Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard: $1000 | Discover IT: $2500 | Amazon Rewards Visa Signature: $1500 | Chase Freedom: $1500 | Capital One QuicksilverOne MasterCard: $2100 | Target: $2800 | J.Crew $21,550 | Marvel (Captain America) MasterCard: $6000

Re: No More Synchrony Bank Luv????

Most of my Sych store cards come back with a FICO score from February 2015. If I call Credit Solutions, the request will usually go through for store cards. Visa and Mc's need to be on the 4 month rotation.

Same thing with me... Even with my scores above 700 as at the last time they did their SP, they still wouldn't increase my limits.... I want higher limits!

Re: No More Synchrony Bank Luv????

There has to be something to this and them using old scores. I tried and tried and not until last week finally did I get an CLI from the Amazon store card. had the card for two years, reduced limit to 700 and every time I asked it was a no go. Ended up trying for the third or fourth time and I had to go through the Chat, ask for $10,000 they countered with $4000 and finally got it, geez.... I got CLIs on a couple other cards from Sychrony but for some reason, this one wasn't going to budge. Maybe they pull new scores only so often and keep reusing old ones?
