No More World Market Credit Card

I was browsing the site the other day and noticed that Synch Bank and World Market are ending their agreement. It makes sense to me, this card is never pimped in the store. I have though about applying for it before, but noticed in the print that you can't use it online and I dont like cards like that. I think this card could have been more sucessful but I never noticed any what so ever marketing or sign up at the register prompts before.

Oh I remember reading the CC disclosures while waiting in line a long while ago and the APR (astronomical), especially for individuals who have this one at the moment.

The Andersons stores also go through SYNCB and they have a card similar to World Market (same SYNCB app interface like CareCredit).

I wonder if Comenity will even consider this one? Smiley Very Happy  Wondering about the portfolio size, receivables (and probably a few losses) this one might have.

I think I remember seeing the disclosure statements when I toyed with the app idea online. A cool 29.9% I believe, now would be 30.25% lol. Dang!

Yeah, tell me about it!

Speaking of Comenity, and not to hijack your thread Smiley Tongue I haven't seen many folks report any more AA experiences here or other forums (still dismayed by yours).  So, I wonder if the major AA blitzes have subsided?  Granted, they can still be happening since we never know what can happen from one day to the next.  Short of poking the good ole fiery dragon, I'm still entetrtaining either Orbitz (Travelocity AmEx replacement) or Virgin America (if I can find a decent sign up offer)  Either can wait for sure and my Comenity accounts have been ok so far (I don't have that many).

I haven't heard any comenity closes down reports either. That orbitz card is the one comenity card I could never get in my hands but it sure would be nice! U should go for it, you have wanted it for some time!

I knew you were going to say that Smiley Very Happy  For some reason I was thinking you had Orbitz...or maybe it was Virgin America.  You had so many I lost track! Smiley Tongue

I agree, I haven't seen any noise recently so it's one of those things... either poke the dragon and hopefully remains asleep or poke it and get torched!  I'm going to definitely think about it for the next few days.  If a juicy VA comes up soon I'll definitely give it a try!

I had Virgin America, I don't really see that amazing of sign up offers for either of those cards but I could be wrong. I know Virgin does offer a better than the run of the mil sign up they usually offer.

That's what I was thinking since I read on another thread that there are some elusive offers out there, just gotta find out when they have one! Smiley Tongue
