No Payment Due, but I have a balance

I have one CC that never has a payment due.  It's my visa.  I usually pay them a couple of times per month, but I always carry a balance.  I've had this CC since 1999 and I've never had a payment due.  The statements say "No payment due this month"...
My CRs always show a payment of $0, even though the utilization on that card is over 50%.
High Balance is $0
Payment is $0
But the balance reports.

Does this have any effect on my score?  Do all credit cards do this "no payment due" thing?

Re: No Payment Due, but I have a balance

esshua,

My experience with this situation boils down to this:

They don't want you to pay from that statement, because that will make the balance carry over to the next month, therefore incurring finance charges. The fact that you pay "a couple times per month" fulfills your "minimum payment due", which is the cause for the statement "No minimum payment due this month."

There is a negative effect to your FICO score, but it's due to high utilization, "...is over 50%...".
FICO scores on November 17, 2014 (prior to applying for and being approved my mortgage)

EX=738
EQ=735
TU=754

FICO scores on March 4, 2015 after being approved for mortgage and buying the home, the mortgage isn't yet reporting.

This happens to me all the time, too.

I pay many of my cc's more than once per month. Most I pif. And if I have a 0 balance at the cut off date, when they generate the statements, then I have no payment due. Of course not, my balance is 0. Smiley Happy

What Visa cc is it that you have, that you carry a 50% utilization, yet shows 0 balance due? That's interesting.

Re: No Payment Due, but I have a balance

OK.  I get the over 50% util is high on that card.  But I have 2-3% util on the other cards.  It balances out.  I just PIF this credit card this morning. Now, I'll try to PIF the balance every month instead of carrying a balance....
I was just wondering if having no payment listed while having a balance effects my FICO score or if it factors into my credit "worthiness" in any way...

I'm sorry.  It shows $0 payment  on the CR.... Like I've never made a payment.  I typed "balance" at first, but edited it...

It would not affect your scores, and I think any creditor doing a manual review would understand what they were seeing. It's not uncommon. I wouldn't worry about it.
