Apparently they dropped MR as a partner, what a shame.
That is a shame. @red259 might need some therapy. ![]()
I never used it myself since I need elite night credits for booking direct with Marriott to keep status, but it really seemed like a good program otherwise. Fortunately, there is still Rakuten although they haven't had any elevated Marriott offers recently. But I have had as much as 10 MRs per dollar on Marriott by just clicking through them on top of the 23.5x Marriott points + welcome gift points earned with status and paying with Bonvoy Brilliant.
I looked into Rocketmiles at one point as a primary place to book. Their prices seemed high and their point currency buy ups did not look to be any better than what the airlines offered.
The site that I'm getting interested in for hotels is the DOSH App. Discounts as good as 45% in cities like Chicago and NYC. Not as good in smaller markets around 5-10%.
Last trip I bought 1/2 the nights through American portal w/shopping bonus for about 5x and 1/2 through United for about 3x w/ shopping bonus + $200 dollar free night redemption. Booked through 3 different travel portals with 3 locations in play. The cheap nights I put on Expedia so I didn't reduce my average award night on Hotelscom. Trying to top of American at over 10,000 miles was part of the goal since I can't move points there.
If I'm looking at 3 nights in NYC as my next trip finding a Hilton/Marriot with 45% discount through DOSH to me sounds like a superior deal.
