I'm going to UK and Hungary soon. I need at least some of my cards to EMVs. I just got off the phone with a CSR at Capital One. I asked if I could get my Platinum MC card replaced with one with an EMV, he said they didn't have any yet. He did advise me that I could have the merchant manually enter my card number at the terminal each time. In my experiences in Europe people already treat dealing with Americans to be a chore, I don't want demand a manual entry each time I pay. I also asked about my Visa Sig and he said they don't have any cards yet, period. I just can't believe that, does anyone on myFICO have a CapOne with a chip? Google Images has them! Haha
My Citi 2xCash is supposed to have a chip, but I will burn through my $2500 CL quite quickly.

There is no U.S.-issued Capital One with EMV. What you see in google are images for folks who have them in other countries, not the U.S. As you may be aware, Capital One operates outside of the U.S. as well.
Thank you both for the insight. I actually searched for keyword "EMV" on CapOne site before I posted here and nothing came up. Guess I needed to dig elsewhere. I will try to get Chase to mail out a EMV Freedom card before I go. There is evidence of someone receiving one in the US. Should have just app'd the CSP when I had the chance.

When will Capital One have chip cards?
We are beginning to issue chip cards now and expect to include the chip on most of our cards by the end of 2015. If you currently have a Capital One credit card, continue using it until you receive your shiny new chip card.
Currently, EMV chip cards not available by request from Capital One. But they have been automatically been sending out new card to consumers by random! No one knows the criteria in whom they choose to select. It's definitely not frequent foreign travel, B/C I have yet to receive one!!!
L-TWT, seems a little silly to randomly send them out to people of whom the majority may not be traveling anywhere they might benifit from having one. Maybe I will be one of the lucky ones that gets it straight away. A lottery of sorts, but CapOne is the only one standing to win any money.
Yeah and this is why the Quicksilver is such a great card. haha
No FTF on a card with no chip... Brilliant!!
Something odd to note that is may be hinting release is on the spark BUSINESS card designer it shows an EMV picture and says if your card contains this that you can not customize your card. First time that ever popped up and we change the card design every couple of months.
