Notice from Discover about error in rate reduction request

Received an email from Discover stating that they made an error when they denied my rate reduction request last fall.

They wanted to inform me that they had reversed the denial and were "pleased to offer me" a new rate of 12.74% (I'm currently at 13.74%). They also stated this was retroactive, and if I had paid any interest since that time, they would be refunding me the difference via a statement credit.

I don't carry a balance so I don't have any refund coming, however I thought this was good news anyhow

That is surprising! That kind of quality service makes me glad I got a Discover card earlier this year. Thanks for sharing.
