Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

Hi Folks,

I PC from OPP to Presidential Plus from Continental which will now be United.  PP is a World Elite card where as OPP is a World card. Both have NPSL above CL. Does anyone know or have the PP card? If so, will it continue to report a CL?

Thanks!!

Re: Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

I don't have this card personally, but I know of people who have the card and it should report the CL.  It is a great card, I've thought about applying for it but I'm not in a Continental/United city.  Enjoy it!

Re: Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

I remember reading that Chase started reporting CLs on all Visa Signature/World Elite cards awhile ago.

Re: Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

Has there been any additional info on what will happen after the merge is completed? I'm probably going to pull the trigger on this next month.

Re: Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

There is a long thread over on flyertalk about the changes that are coming when the United takeover is complete.  The biggest change includes the calculation of elite miles with the card.  Here is the link to a thread where I posted this before:

It still is a good deal as long as you need lounge access and do not have an elite status discount with United.

I've given the most recent comments a read, although I typically try and avoid FT like the plague. Some of the posters there can be quite uppity, up-tight.

Re: Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

I have the Presidential Plus card and love it!  It does report.  I had an issue with my old world card that I upgraded and the new Presidential card both reporting.  I called customer service and it was fixed immediately.  I upgraded to the PP due to the lounges not taking my Platinum Amex anymore.  I actually get a lot of comments on the card because the numbers are on the back, the front just says Presidential Plus  and my name.  You get a premier access United club card seperately (I came about two weeks after the card).  Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Oh Fudge...Chase Presidential Plus

Is the card metal like the sapphire preferred and ritz carlton card, or is it made of the same plastic as most other cards?
