Re: Okay, I Did It!

kobe, don't obsess.  My former  scores dropped 20-something points because I went on an "apping spree" last Oct.  The biggest hit was to my TU score: it was 785 then.  You do the math!  But, evidently my scores are still good but it was shocking at first.

Just continue to pay on time.  Patience is definitely the key. I know another "hard" inquiry won't help but that's life.

msqueen,

i mean, if i keep paying on time, like i always do, will i get into the 700 area within 3 monhts?

right now, i've paid all my accounts, i'm wondering if or when the lenders report, if the score will jump by 20 to 40 points?

Re: Okay, I Did It!

Itook a 19 pt hit on score for one app.  When you hit 5 inqs it does that.  then i had one fall off and got the 19 pts back.  5 inqs is magic number for lowering of score and then 6-7 and so on.  I have an 8+ BK but can't figure if that's still hurting me much.  anybody???
TU--740  EX--761  --EQ--698????

EX 761?  Doesn't look like that BK is hurting much at all.

Why is EQ so much lower?

BTW, the number of points an INQ is worth depends on a number of factors.  For you, INQ #5 may be worth 19 points, but not necessarily for others.

Re: Okay, I Did It!

i'm not worried, but i'd like for my credit score to be in the 700's. I'm not going to apply for anything anymore until i reach that mark.
