Okay...stupid question

Sorry in advance for the stupid question Smiley Embarassed, could anyone answer the following about freezing reports:

1.  Does freezing your report stop your current accounts from updating?  Meaning, if I pay all of my balances off in full, will that then update on my reports in the same time as it would have without the freeze?

2.  Could I still receive soft pulls for cli?

3.  Does it expire or could I set like a time-frame?  Meaning, could I say, okay place this in affect from May 12th, 2012 through May 12th, 2013?

Thanks for your answers and again, sorry if these are silly questions.Smiley Embarassed
