One high utilization card, split to two medium utilization cards or try for a balance transfer card?

Hi all!
I had a topic before about paying a larger amount ($20k in total) with a 0% APR credit card.

I did get the Amex Cash Magnet, but was burned a bit by Amex shuffling my limit from my Hilton over to the Cash Magnet instead of giving me 'new' credit so to speak (I had no clue that was an option).
Either way, I worked with that and even brought over more of my credit line from the hilton to the cash magnet for utilization purposes (I know have $33k on the cash magnet and $5k on the hilton).

I paid the first half of my purchase amount on with the cash magnet which has a 0% APR offer until Sept 24.
My Experian Fico 8 dropped from 796 to 776 because of my overall utiliztion now being at 17% ($17k of 100k overall limit) and the card using around 40% of it's full limit.

When I pay the second half, I will be at $22k usage of my $33k limit on the cash magnet (so ~67% useage) and $29k overall useage (~29% overall utilization).
I'm not planning on making any other big purchases/loan requests or anything anytime soon. The reason why I use my 0% APR as finance option is that the money I have in savings is just producing too much interest to use it out right, I rather pay the card off over time (which won't be an issue).

However, because I'm score focused, I'm looking at three options right now to evaluate:
- Keep plan as is, use the cash magnet and pay off by 9/24

- Use Cash Balance Transfer offer on existing (0% APR until Jan 25) that has a $17k line to shuffle over parts from the Amex to get the individual utalization down (does that do much if the overall utilization doesn't change?)
- Open a new card with a balance transfer 0% APR offer to bring Amex and overall utilization down

Obviously, for the balance transfer I would need to pay 3% of the transfer amount, so that would be the 'price' to pay.

With the new card (looking at maybe the Discover IT Balance Transfer Card) I wouldn't know what limit I would get approved for.

My profile now:

Experian FICO 8: 776
Oldest account: 9 1/2 years
Youngest: 2 months
Average: 5 years
Past year hard pulls: 2
Current usage: $17k out of $100k limit (Most of that on the Amex, second highest Citi Home Depot card bc of 0% for larger purchases)
Current credit cards:
- Home Depot Citi, $6k ($1300 balance)
- CPO SavorOne, $6k (paid off monthly)
- CPO Quicksilver, $5.5 (no balance)
- Amex Hilton, $5k (no balance)
- Chase Amazon Prime, $8k (paid off monthly)
- US Bank Cash +, $17k
- PayPal Credit Card, $20k (paid off monthly)
- Amex Cash Magent (newest card), $33k ($14k balance)

My only other dept is my mortgage.

No late payments, no bankruptcy, around $120k annual income.

Should I just stick it out with the Amex and not worry about my score until I have paid off the balance until Sep 24? Or does it make sense to take the $300 transfer hit to use the US bank balance transfer and spread it out over two cards?
I'm a little leery with the new card, just because of the guaranteed credit hit without knowing how much I'll get approved for (if I get approved).

Thanks a lot, as always, for all your help and guidance!

i know savings interest is around 4.5% right now - but i dont think that will offset the $300 transfer hit for a BT

my opinion - you are making this a little too complicated - if you have the money to pay it off - do that - then put what would have been your monthly payments into your Savings acct again

as for your score - anything over 740 gets you the best rates - so being at 770 something is a non issue

sometimes the most straightforward thing is to simply paydown your debts, and then go full force on savings

No matter how low (to a certain degree) you keep your aggregate usage, you'll take a score hit for the 67% usage on the single card. But, as you pay it down, your scores will come back up. The faster you pay it down, the faster they'll come back up. If you're not going for a mortgage or any other significant purchase any time soon there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of the 0% and not sweating the score consequences. They'll recover

I'd stick with the devil you know and ride it out with Amex, pay off what you can as soon as you can. Why take a hit on another card that may only give you a token amount of SL and be of no use in what you are wanting to do.

@RSX
So you're saying I should not do the balance transfer and just pay it off until 9/24 on the one card?

And over time the $300 will get offset/will still be cheaper than using my savings, but it would obviously be more benficial to not having to pay it to begin with.

Since it is 0% I don't want to lose out on my savings % by paying off right away, so that's not one of my options.

Edited to add: and yes, I know the 770 is not a bad score, but this is my score now, before the other half has hit the card so to speak. I guess my question is more around: how much does card individual utilization impact negatively vs overall utlization?

@Priory_Man
As said, I could pay it off asap, I could have also never put it on any kind of card to begin with, but I don't want to impact my savings.

So sticking with the Amex it is, thank you!
