Some Orchard/HSBC cards do skip months, sometimes skip two months. They act amazed when you question them, but it sure does get reported here a lot.
I've been OK with my Best Buy card, but it's a store card, and it seems to behave differently: it posts on the statement date, with the statement amount, etc. But the bank cards frequently note the balance that you had on the last business day of the month, and actually report it several weeks later, in the next month.
