Re: Ordering Replacement Cards!?

I keep mint condition "backups" of my two metal cards. I figure if I ever need to impress my DGF's parents I'll bring a shiny new card along. Smiley Happy

Re: Ordering Replacement Cards!?

I do this. I'm curious - what reason does everyone give for asking for a new one?

BofA used to charge to send out a replacement ages ago, but Chase hasn't charged me anything so far.

Any experiences?

Re: Ordering Replacement Cards!?

Most don't charge. Just say the card is falling apart and can they send replacement so you can use it.

I just tell them I want to keep one in my wallet and one at my office.

Re: Ordering Replacement Cards!?

Mine frequently get washed in the washing machine, or left in my car in my wallet which causes them to have a permanent bent shape.  When they get hard to swipe I just call the issuer and ask for a replacement,  Discover doesn't charge for a replacement. When cards melt, it causes the numbers not to be raised anymore FYI
