Over-Paying on Credit Card good or bad?

Will it help my credit score if I put $2000 on an unsecured card I have that has a $1000 limit?

No, having a credit balance on your CC won't have any effect on your score. Usually CCs with a credit balance report to the CRAs a zero balance, not a negative number. Also, some CCs will automatically refund any credit balances on your account.

No, you'll just recieve a statement credit on your bill, and i'm not real sure if you can overpay by that much.
