If you pair it with this Overstock MC you'll get whopping 13% back.
I got the following message after attempting to apply:
Thank You for applying for the Overstock.com® Credit Card and being an Overstock.com customer. Unfortunately the information from your application did not transfer correctly back to the Overstock.com website due to technical difficulties. Your account information should be available within 24 - 48 hours on our website, at checkout. Questions? Please call Overstock.com's Customer Service. Close © 2011 Overstock.com All Rights Reserved
The message is contradictory cannot tell if the app went through or not. If it did not, then how can account info be available at checkout within 24-48 hours?
The key here is "up to 8% cash back". And its a toss up whether you would get the additional 5% from discover, sometimes yes sometimes no.

8% works like this,
* You get 3% back from your Overstock purchase when your statement is out.
* Overstock MC also gives you free membership to Club O. Club O gives you 5% back from your Overstock purchase when your order is shipped.
Hence 5% + 3% = 8%.
Although the wording is "up to 8%", you DO get 8% back overall.

I called Overstock.com this morning and they directed me to FNBO - 1-866-348-3036. I called the and used the automated system and was able to confirm that my application was received.
I guess l lasted only two days in the garden . I am going back in and will perform this 11 month experiment. Hopefully, it will result in an unsecured line with FNBO in 11 months and a relationship that gets me access to mre of their lines. Ten years ago I had CD's with them and did some credit builder loans against those with them.

Not bad!!! I hope I get it!!I do too! Keep us updated!!!
I'm done with them for the forseeable future. Like i said, only unless a bonified preapproval and nothing short of that. I have valuable HP's in reserve and don't intend to waste anymore if that can be helped.
Very interested in this card, but am somewhat confused by the comments. Could someone please clarify for me? Preferably someone who has actually APPLIED for the SECURED card. Is the SECURED card a HARD pull? Doesn't make sense to me if it is. Why would you need an HP for a secured line? Anyway, input appreciated. :-)

yes it's a HP
There are very few secured credit cards on the market that you can get without a hp (State Department Credit Union is the only one that comes to mind)
