No credit pull, and no account review or underwriting of any sort. They only did a "eligibility check", which basically just means they made sure there weren't any automatic disqualifiers, like the account being under 12mo old, or having a sub-$10k credit limit. In my case, my CL was under $10k so they moved some of my CL over from another Chase card to bring the Sapphire to 10k, then the PC went right through without a hitch.

The one I'm having trouble getting is the one you've got, we should work out some sort of trade
I've been waiting for my Freedom invite for like 2 years... nothing but crickets so far, and I'm not brave enough to kick the hornet's nest and cold app for it
Ha! .. Don't cold app. if over 5/24.
I finally just gave in and PC'd my CFU to CF as I really needed the CF a lot more.
I have so many 2% and 1.5% cards, and now AOD 3%.
I'm 4/24 right now, and that's not by accident
Been keeping that last slot open specifically for Freedom, in case Chase ever comes around.
I don't want to PC my CFU, because (now especially with my new CSR) the 1.5% really translates to 2.25%, which is better than any other card I have for everyday spending.
Yeah you have a lot open for the new Freedom Flex. There is the earning plus that monster 5% CB on 12,000 on groceries right now.
Its so good that I want to app for it even though I'm over 5/24. Maybe try it in branch.
