PC of a co-Branded Chase Card

I've convinced my mom to go with a CSR/FU credit card strategy.  She just retired from a travel heavy position, and puts all her spend on a SW card, and Marriott spend only on her Marriott card.  But with the release of the CSR, I beleive she can do better than that.  She likes travel rewards and doesn't have the paience for revolving categories, using many different cards to maximize rewards, etc..  So putting all her spend on CSR & FU cards, will be the simplest, most luctrative solution.

She applied for the CSR and was approved, should receive her card any day now.

She currently has the Marriott & SW cards, can she PC either of these cards into the FU?

Pretty sure you can't change a chase co branded card at all.

Re: PC of a co-Branded Chase Card

While you can't PC a Co-branded card, you can move the limit onto a core Chase card.  So, while the FU will take another app, it will only add to her total available credit.

Re: PC of a co-Branded Chase Card

Thanks everyone ....

I'm not sure what will happen when she app for the FU.  With her 3 current Chase cards her combined CL is over $100K. I'm not sure what will happen when she applies for a fourth Chase card.  If she does get a denail or a 7-10 day message she will not want to call the backdoor, she is very much, "I don't want to bother with it" type person, (unlike most of us!)

Re: PC of a co-Branded Chase Card

100K exposure is NOT the problem as long as her annual income is around 200-250K.
If she is under 5/24 and get a 7-10, she WILL get approved by calling recon and move credit line around.
If you are 100% sure she does NOT want to be bothered by calling recon, then I would closed cobrand card first to reduce the overall chase exposure, then apply FU after couple weeks to improve her odds for an instant approval.
