Currently have two Cap 1 accounts :
QS1 MC 1.5% CB 22.9 % APR
Journey 1.25% CB 19.8 % APR
Recently got approved for an AMEX BCE last month, decided to take advantage of BT offer of 0% for 15 months and transfer my roughly 1k balance onto my amex from my QS1. Plan is to close the QS1 MC as soon as the balance transfer clears due to the higher APR, so I called the CSR # and to my pleasant surprise their was actually a rewards upgrade offer for the Journey so I don't lose out on any rewards when the QS1 closes.
Result: PC'd to the regular QS visa no A/F. Planning on some heavy usage this summer north of the border and might have to carry a balance so I asked for an APR reduction as well and was granted 15.9% for 8 months (better than nothing). Forgot to post a while back, but I also recieved a decent CLI on the journey card from 750->2750. I have to say although the automated services are useless sometimes with Cap 1 my last 3 interactions with actual CSR have been great.
For anyone wondering, I have had the Journey account that was PC'd for 19 months, have requested one CLI which was almost 6 months ago next week, usually run about $65 a month through it for coffee, snacks on the go, and highway tolls when needed, PIF most times.
