Paid charged-off Amex card

Hey all,

I finally finished paying off my closed Amex card which was enrolled in a payment plan (12 months of recurring payments) for the Optima Oasis card with their third-party collections team. I'm currently expecting an application via mail for the Optima Oasis. I was wondering who's had experience with the Optima card and could give me their experience with the program.

1. How long did it take you to receive the application?

2. After submitting the application, was a HP or SP initiated? What approximately was your score at the time of the pull?

3. How long did it take for your Amex delinquencies to clear from your credit report? This was my favorite part of the program since I have no other negative marks on my credit report, and I'm anticipating my score to increase significantly as it's the only factor holding me back.

4. Upon approval, how long did it take to receive your Optima card? Were you notified via email first? Or did it just show up x days after submitting the app?

5. Does this card operate as a bridge between Amex and me? Meaning, is this card like Capital One's Platinum where it'll eventually get PC'd if I reestablish a good relationship with them? Or is this just Amex's way of saying I'm no longer blacklisted and am free to apply (not that I immediately will) for any other card with them assuming my credit score is good enough?

6. Will I maintain my membership? I'd like to hope my four year membership status won't be lost.

That is the most recent info/post that should answer some of your questions. 😊

I don’t have any personal experience to add.
