Hello! I took an aggressive approach and paid off all debt! My credit score went from a 440 to 708 in a little over a years time. I've been so focused on that, that I didn't consider the establishment of credit. I am hoping for any advice or recommendations on next steps or specifics cards to start the process. I did have a bankruptcy in 2014. Thanks in any advance for your help.

It would be good to list out what you have open at this point in time, what your looking for (cash back or travel card) so the members can make recommendations to you. I am also going to move this to the main credit card forum for more input.
In addition to what @gdale6 said, please list any creditors you burned in your BK. It'll cut down on questions and get recommendations put forth more quickly.
Hello!
I don't have anything open at the moment. I did have a charge off from Cap One but I paid it back. I am just looking to build my credit or get some credit. If I had a choice cash back would be great.
Thank you for your feedback!
Congrats! It's a big relief going from either living or relying on cards to paying them off. I started searching for cards that would reward my habits already. We spend a long on groceries and gas so the AMEX Blue Cash Preferred made sense after I ran the numbers. We are currently saving for a house in about 2-2.5 years so that's what we are planning around. What are your goals and habits which would help dictacte where you need to go credit wise?
