You have NEVER been more right. 
I was trying to garden for a while, but I was also upset that I got denied for the Apple card a month ago. So OF COURSE I accepted the card just so I can feel vindicated. 
It will decrease my AAoA which was already low but the new card will help my utilization. But for real this time, no more applications for a while!
