Have a citi premier where the AF is due today. I already called and had it converted to a citi cash. It shows on my account as a citi cash card. I was told the AF would be refunded when I downgraded. Should I still pay the AF to avoid it acting like I went late or just leave it and let it resolve itself automatically? Normally with cards in this siutation I don't bother paying the AF and it just updates some time later, but can't remember if I have done so with citi.
They don't automatically charge your card for AF? That seems like that would be the default and even preferred by the issuer.

The AF posted and today is the payment due date.
If your bill is due today, I would pay it in full today. You can't be sure how long it will take to refund you the AF, and you don't want any miscommunications or issues due to not paying your bill. It is just the safer option.

Agree, unless you've already made the minimum ( or full ) payment I'd just include the AF and be done with it now.
I agree with the others, you don't want be late, even if it's refunded later.
Since the payment due date is today I would check the statement. They might or might not have included it yet. If they did not include it then you still have some time. If they did include it then you might want to consider paying it a day late and hope for some forgiveness. If Citi is smart they will credit it overnight from the day of conversion to a no AF card and you will be safe. If they are slightly delayed then they might have a large mess to clean up. The only thing I can say is concerning is that Citi can hold you to paying up to the new purchases+the AF for this statement cycle even if your total due on the account is less.
I have had product changed 3 Citi cards and each time Citi issued refund for AF after 59 days later. Two times they even deducted the AF for 59 days like $20+ something. So, you should pay AF, otherwise you would get late payment fee....I do not think you would get refund for the AF before 59 days based upon my experience on this exact situation on 3 citi accounts....
