You can always "push" payments from any bank account to a credit card using a bank bill pay.   As others said, all the issuer cares about is being paid.

Some issuers may slow down crediting your account (i.e. they take the payment  and mark the account as paid, but don't restore the full available credit straight away) if  there are "too many" payment sources, but in the OPs case this shouldn't be an issue

I would use those words loosely. If they really didnt care then they wouldnt be placing deposits into a checking account to verify the person has access. But yes, for some of us older folks, we forget you can easily bill pay direct from checking.

That (the deposits) is done when the ccc is doing the pulling (set up on their web site) and I assume they are much more liable for taking money from some unauthorized account.   I push all the time and have never been asked to document ownership of the account, because anyone is allowed to pay (think of a balance transfer for example)

Re: Pay Credit Card Bill with another bank account?

Thanks again all.

I get charged for pushing money from my CU, with my checking account setup with her CC I am letting them pull it.

I setup the first pull for today to pay on her cards. I will see how it goes.

I have another checking account I use only for my mortgage, and I think they charge a fee also to push a payment.
