Paying NMAC with Discover

I remember seeing sometime in Dec when I first got my Discover Card that you could pay NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance) with Discover? I just want to get the rewards offered since its $430 I pay every month anyways.

I dont see a negative if they take it, other than intreast if you dont pay by end of grace period

Re: Paying NMAC with Discover

And be sure that it is not treated as a cash advance..  #1, cash advances usually have fees attached right off the back and that would out weight any reward points.  #2, normally you don't receive reward points for cash advances.

Otherwise, it would be good.  Make the charge, and then send the payment immediately to your card (just as if you were paying the carnote).

Let us know what you find out.

Re: Paying NMAC with Discover

After digging into this a litte more. This is a feature provided thru BillMatrix. They charge a fee of $12.95 per transaction for this service. Not worth it in the long run as the fees would kill you and you'd never make it up in a year with the 1% cashback.

Yes I could do the same with Santander, I did do it a couple times because it was instant and I just used Amex Charge at the time.  It is not treated as a Cash Advance... but not worth it at all!!!
