Is there any problem walking into Chase and paying my credit card balance in cash? I'm going to get some cash tomorrow and wanted to use it to pay off my card to avoid the statement cutting with a balance during the lunch hour. I won't have time to go through the extra steps of making a bank deposit, then sending payment from my bank etc. I used to make cash payments on a closed out credit card all the time, but that was because they disabled my online pay when I closed the card even though I still had a balance without issue. I just don't want to be throwing up any red flags or anything via a cash payment.
should be no issue unless you are talking like $10k!
Should be ok as an occasional thing. Some report trouble with mailing in money orders (told by Chase to stop or account will be closed) but apparently paying cash or MO at branch is OK.

Nah it will only be like 1.3k or something.
I walk into my local branch and pay my Chase CC with cash probably a couple times a quarter. I am a USAA member and dont have a local branch to deposit cash, so that is my preferred method when I have cash laying around (after a gambling trip for example). It instantly posts to your available credit as well. Go for it!
I pay with cash all the time, just take your statement in there and say you are making a payment. Never ever had a problem...and it gets credited that day if you get there before 2PM.
I do it with Chase and Citi monthly: cash, checks, > 3k payments sometimes. No need to worry.
