Paypal Extras. silly customer service i swear

Well it was weird after a couple weeks never got my new paypal credit card

instead i got a letter about a week after i got my approval online

the letter said

please contact fraud deparment  for the security of your account we need to verify is you who open this account

ME:  ok  i guess ill give them a call to see what they need or want to comfirm

then i decide it to call

finally after a couple minutes i spoke to this indian lady  she was nice

but she dint know a word i said  lol go figure

she transfer me to supervisor and American one  named BIll then i was able to explain my reason for calling and asked him if they need it something from me

hes reply was: at this time it seems like we need to verify your social security and you driver license with current adress.

ME: ok do you need the number the actual copy of the documents

HE:no i would need a copy of each document clearly showing the numbers

ME: ok no problem where do i fax

HE: nope you need to mail them sir

ME: ok

HE: but before that can you please provide me with your expiration date and security code on the back of you card

ME: i still dont have the card yet has not arrive on the mail yet

HE: thats weird you should of have it by now

ME: yea  but i still dont have it

HE: ok call when back when you get it

ME: ok hung up

today

i call again explain to the lady i have not got my card yet she said ok let me transfer to my supervisor im like ok

then she transfer me to the same guy Bill and he ask me for my mailing adress last 4 and phone number n birthday i think..

then  it turns out that paypal mailled my credit card to another state i live in california

and they send it to somewhere in michigan!!!!!!!

i freak out right away!!!

he said to hold for a minute

then he comes with a lame excuse that  they had a system glitch and many persons cards where mailled to different places  and adress and my name and card was one of them..

im like are u  f kidding me  why in the hell dint you guys call me to make sure  i had my card!!!!

a simple call would of solve the problem

now he said that he need to make sure its me  and he start asking security question to verify identidy

he completely dint give a crap... about my consern of my card and name been mailed to who knows who in michigan..

after he verify the info he issue a new card and fix the whole social security card and driver license as well  now i dont have 2 mail nothing..

but i still got a bad mouth flavor.. people

now i have a fraud alert on equifax for some reason

i dont even know who request it

my guess they did but ill keep it for safety  till im sure no one trying to take adavantage of my lost card..

sorry for the long message but i want it to share it with you guys

THANK GOD EVERYTHING IS SOLVE

The same thing happened to my SO!!!

He applied for the card last month and was approved.  Before the card ever came, he got the same letter that you got from the fraud department.  He called in, but they only told him they had "no idea" why he had received that letter!

Now I'm wondering if they put a fraud alert on one of his reports too...how would he be able to check that?

would just need to check hes credit report all 3 of them  and it will say if he has a fraud alert active... i found out cuz i have a credit service monitoring my credit.. plus myfico.com.. i just saw the email and went and to see my credit reports and now the fraud alert its on all 3 reports it sucks cuz i dint autorize them to put it there  but its a hassle to take them out.. ill just gonna  to wait till they expire..

what i did do...

i add my phone number on the fraud alert  so if some one try to aply for credit  they can contact me before aproving or giving credit

you might want to

go to equifax dispute online as well experian and transunion.. and add the phone number to the fraud alert  i did it..

and if he wants to remove the fraud alert from all 3 he needs to send a copy of hes ID AND SOCIAL  and if he recently move he will need a current utility bill incase hes ID doesnt have the current adress..

this are the links where you can get the info he needs Smiley Happy
