Re: Paypal Smart Connect CLI Strategy

The Paypal Smart Connect is issued by GE. As with most GE issued accounts, CLI's are based on the last SP (CareCredit and possibly Pep Boys are HP's). GE will only grant a CLI after every fourth statement. Since your account was issued in June, you will have to wait until October for a CLI. As with any card, heavy useage is helpful for getting a nice CLI.

Thanks for making that point.  I actually forgot that they did this.  It explains why I could get very few increases.  My credit improved, but if it's based on the last SP, they probably saw more than they wanted too.

It's great that it's soft pull since there is no additional hit to the CR, but it sucks when your credit changes significantly and they aren't able to see that.  I guess calling credit solutions might help, but I'd hate to ask them to check every GE account I own at once or keep having to call back.

Re: Paypal Smart Connect CLI Strategy

you need to let a balance report at least once so a statement is created otherwise you will be stuck in not experience enough with credit limit limbo with automated system.  I have test this on my paypal connect and other GE backed cards.
