Paypal smart connect upgrade?

I think they're discontinuing smart connect as it directly competes with PayPal credit.

Only logical explanation. I got a letter about it, but it wasn't an offer to upgrade (like for walmart).

Just said "your card will arrive in 60 days and we're lowering your apr"

Mine says I can decline by May 6th. Also new approvals for Smart Connect in the approval section. So it doesn't seem that they are discontinuing the Smart Connect. I think they want more fees from swiping their card. As using PayP Smart Connect at stores such as Home Depot might not be paying off.
