For the last year PenFed has been monkeying around with its website. In the past, it had a great website -- functional, clean, and fast.
The only problem I had with it involved credit card balance transfers. If you put in the account number, and PenFed recognized the account number, it was OK. But if you put in the account number and it didn't recognize the account number -- which was often the case for credit union credit cards, and always the case for loan accounts -- it put you through a giant, Alice in Wonderland adventure through a bizarre, completely unintuitive, highly obsolete and outdated obstacle course, requiring you to click through dozens of pages of useless material before you could actually input the balance transfer information.
During the past year, PenFed has been monkeying around with its user interface for credit cards. Until today, the changes I noticed made the site worse, not better, and changed the credit card sections of the site from "functional, clean, and fast" to "dysfunctional, very sloppy, and ridiculously slow".
But I am pleased to report that they have actually improved -- greatly -- the user interface for credit card balance transfers.
I would say that the only knock on the new version is that it requires 2-step authentication for each balance transfer, even in the same session.

Its about time they upgraded that prehistoric system they had. last time i did a bt with penfed i felt like a caveman,

I haven't done a transfer since about June this year. Do you know when said change took place by chance?

Within the last 30 days. Can't narrow it down below that.

Possibly the entire of their website is an advertisement to employ some web desgin engineers. Here is one example ![]()

@xenon3030 DYING!!! Yeah they do not have the best UI by far, but that's the only thing negative I have to say about them. They make life very easy for me. Maybe one of us can recommend *a guy*
