The $75 is less than 1.4% cash back (statement credit), but I think it is in addition to the normal rewards points earned on purchases. I have noticed offers for up to $200 cash back for transferring a balance. It's nice to see them making an effort to keep customers. Sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference.
