Just passing along some info I gained when taking to a PenFed CSR....hope this is not old news.
The total aggregate limit across all credit card products is still 50k....but they have lowered the max credit limit on new applications for their Gold Visa to 15k, but still 25k max on all other credit card types as long as the total combined limits across all credit cards is no more then 50k.
I believe if you get a 'Pre-Approved Offer' for a credit product you may be able to get around those limits.
Personal Lines of Credit are capped at 25k combined total...including their Thrifty LOC.

Thanks for sharing. That's an interesting DP for the Gold Visa.
One thing, though, unless the UW policy hasn't cascaded to reflect the changes site-wide, and the last time I spoke with PenFed, the PLOC still had a cap of $20K, IIRC. Thrifty also had a max cap.
Per their website (PLOC):
$25k max for PenFed credit cards?
My Promise card is at $35k, did I get a unicorn?
No, they implemented the $25K cap around this time last year, existing cards were grandfathered.
They neglected to update their quarterly offer process so after they made the change some members here who got quarterly offers that included a card they already held were still able to select their card and get a CLI pushing their existing card over $25K. I haven't seen any recent DP so don't know if they closed that loophole.
