Re: Penfed or Alliant (or another) for growth potential?

Lol @Allzero

It just never occured to me because Pop had passed away so long ago. My wife made the comment last night when I was opening the Alliant savings account that if Pop were alive I could use him to get eligible for NFCU, so I figured I’d ask about deceased family members.
I’m glad I did!

I can get any info I need for verification from GrandMom just in case, if I need it.

Glad your DW mentioned it. Smiley Happy It begs the question, why are you replying to this post when you could be on the phone? They are open 24/7/365. Let's see a membership approval post. Smiley Very Happy

I got in NFCU by a loophole back in early 2017 but yeah only thing I don't like about the Flagship is they require you to have 5000 points or $50nto redeem. So it's the reason why I never got it.

Re: Penfed or Alliant (or another) for growth potential?

That’s not a problem for me. I like letting it build up a little and redeeming less often. I used to just let it sit and build up (to several hundred dollars sometimes) until I was ready to use it. I was advised against doing that due to some horror stories others had with their cards. Still, it’s not uncommon for me to wait until I have a good little chunk before I pull it out. I currently have about $85 built up on my BBVA card and between $45 - $60 on my PPMC and AMEX cards.
