Personal Loans?

I know this might not be the correct forum for this question, however, I didnt know where I may put this question.

Does anybody know what banks provide personal/ signature loans? somewhere around 10K? I have cedit in the range of 700s I last checked about 8 or 9 months ago.

I am a member at PSECU and PENFED however, I am not a citizen of USA, or a Permanent Resident card holder yet, and therefore, I dont qualify for their signature loans. I have tried, and have been denied in both places. However, I have been approved 6 months ago for the PENFED platinum rewards visa card with a CL of 5K. This card is heavily used and paid off before the statement cuts.

I am also a BOA customer, however, they do not provide signature/ personal loans anymore. At least that is what I have been told by the frontline CSRs.

Does anybody here have any ideas as to where I can apply for, and have a chance at approval? I do not want to waste my precious inquiries. I have already wasted a couple by trying at my local credit unions.

I need the loan to fund my MBA studies. Please dont suggest Federal student loans... I know they are an option... but they are not an option for me because of my non-immigrant status in USA.

Citibank does personal loans.

I looked at CITIBANK, however, you need to either have a checking acct with them with a minimum $250.00 deposited with them or a credit card. I dont have a checking account with them, nor a credit card.

If you are a permanent resident and have Government issued ID and SSN you ARE eligible for personal loans. Try the banks you already have relationship with. They may also offer you a line of credit if you need a loan for a fairly short amount of time. Or try local CU's if you are able to prove your income

Penfed just approved me for a 5k card and I called to say the limit was too low and it would negativley impact my average credit limit so we got to talking and she changed it to a 10k personal loan.
