Hi Everyone!
I am new to the credit world. I am a Junior in college and I just got my first card (Discover It 500CL) in February 2014. I am looking to get a new card (Chase Freedom) relatively soon. My credit score is 706. Should I wait a while before applying for a new card to get the length of my credit history longer or just go for it and see what happens?
Thank you for your help!
Rich

I think you probably could get it now. Is that credit score an fico score from discover? Chase usually will pull EX first.
Oh sorry! Yes it is my FICO score
Kenny, how would I see if I have prequalified offers?
Any particiular reason why Freedom? If you already have Discover, getting a Freedom would have certain rewards overlap (i.e. July~Sep Gas 5%).

Is that a bad thing? And I like the offer of $200 cash back they have right now. I'm not 100% sure what I am looking for in a credit card. I looked at chase freedom and Amex.

goto chase credit card site, and click pre quali link. It will ask for your name, address, and last 4 of social. It should bring up freedom, slate, or csp if you qualify for any of them.

It would be an good idea to figure out what kind of card you want first. IF its an rewards, cashback, charge card or what. Once you decide then we probably can help you better in deciding which card to get.

Not bad at all! However every card has a purpose w/ different rewards system, it's all about what you want in the card.
