MILESTONE—I finished settling ALL my charged-off credit cards to zero balances after 6 years, and I know they will all be deleted in Year 7.
These cards are CAP ONE, AMEX (platinum + BCE), and CHASE (SR + Freedom). I was able to apply with CAP ONE and was approved with a $2K, which I am forever grateful for as a significant first step in rebuilding that relationship.
However, I have had that AMEX and CHASE tend to blacklist, mainly if you ONLY "settled" and not paid in full?
What are my odds of approval? Has anyone gone through a similar situation as mine?>

Do you still owe money to Chase and AMEX?

With all the other fish in the sea, there's no reason for you to apply to one of the three lenders that might have you blacklisted. Just go about managing your existing credit as well as you can until the negatives drop off and your scores rebound. And then when that happens, I would look at other lenders. But for now, just be patient.

Amex is infamous for blacklisting, you wont get back in the good graces if you settled with them. I did my charges off back in 2008. In 2020, Amex sent me an email that they would let me bacK, If I paid my charge off amt in full. I told them to go pound sand
Im at 7 CC now and 3 of them let me back in, I dont need Amex....
I agree with the others. I like amex fine, but if I owed them money, they would be In the rearview.

Sounds backwards to me. If you owe them money, then you're in AmEx rear view, as you should be.
