Pre approval from Overstock via mail?

Hi ALl,

Has anyone ever received a pre approval from Overstock.com via the mail?  The only question i have will this be another inquiry?  Also it doesnt have a limit on it.   Would this be considered a SP?  I have already vowed not to open any more accounts after my  Icomfort card.  I dont want to have a load of store cards. I already have quite a few.I think i have 12 which finger hut for some reason when i asked to close it they didnt.

I got one. In fact I've gotten many from various store card issuers. It happens after I get the SCT popup on their sites. So, if you've shopped their they may have soft pulled you and decided to send the mail.

Re: Pre approval from Overstock via mail?

In May I was able to get the Overstock Card and it was a SP; However, I got it thru the Shopping Cart Trick method.

If you want to make sure it is only a SP, I would recommend only applying thru the SCT.

I also went thru the Sportsmans Guide site and loaded my cart and filled out the contact info just like in my CRs and the pop up did appear, but I closed it out without making a purchase. They sent me a pre-approval letter in the mail and it haunted me, but I went back thru the SCT and applied for it that way with a purchase, and I have not received a HP from either Overstock or Sportsmans Guide and its been at least two weeks.

There are several threads about how to use the SCT and it wasnt difficult for me.  I have used it for two cards in the last month.

No issues at all with the merchandise.

I have placed three orders already all with quality goods.

I am used to the Amazon Prime delivery benefits and Overstock hasn't heard of that yet, but then again, not that important to get it quickly so that I could justify extra shipping charges.

Did you do the 'Opt Out' of offers?  You have to be opted in for it to work with a SP.

Also try a differrent browser, or do Private or Incognito or whatever the inconspicuous mode is.

Lots of other hints in the Shopping Cart Trick threads.

Yea i dont know that its worth the risk for me right now... I read the shopping cart trick but i dont really know that i would use the overstock that much.  The most shopping i do online is HSN... I have a total of 11 store cards already Smiley Sad  I know that at some point it will be a problem down the road...

You know i see where I opted to receive promotional messages via mail. I opted out. I will have to think about this one is it really worth it. Might be better to swap my finger hut for this as its better prices and not have such a toy limit like finger hut.
