Pre-approved Home Depot CC from Citi

Hi, can anyone tell me what CR Citi pulls? I just received an offer in the mail saying that I was pre-approved and that I needed to respond by Oct. 20, 2011. What is the likelihood I will get this card if I apply? I already have a Lowe's CC that I have had since 2005.

My current FICO scores are: 631 EQ (092411)

                                                   649 TU (092411)

My scores will go up tremendously in the next couple of weeks as I have just paid off a multitude of my cards. I am now at 27% UTL, down from 66%

I would appreciate any guidance....thanks!

Dh's scores are just a few points over yours and he was denied by HD but approved by Lowe's for 1K.  FYI.

You will likely keep getting offers with more deadlines.   Any chance you can get the util down to 9% soon?

Citi pulled EQ for me in Colorado for Home Depot card, but pulled EX for Citi Diamond Preferred card.

Absolutely! I will definitely have under a 9% UTL before the end of the month I hope (depending on the date certain items are reported to the CRAs). Hopefully then, I will have a 2% to 5% UTL.

This will also cause my credit score to go up also.

You're welcome my Friend, and as the other poster said if you could get your util <9%, that would be ideal before apping.

UTIL is 30% of your score, so you are right, getting down to 1-9% UTIL will help raise your scores.
