Pre approved

I checked out amex pre approvals and i was approved for most of their card.

Does it mean anything giving that i had high balances (about 70%)?

Amex prequalifications are usually considered very strong.  The high utilization may have no effect on approval.  With some lenders, high utilization can cause the starting limit to be low, though, so keep that in mind.

On my TU & Experian reports, it showed my utilization was 81%. I was pre-qualified, so I applied to the Amex Blue Cash Everyday. I was approved, but with a $500 credit limit. I may ask for a CLI since I paid off my other cards and my utilization is remarkably low now, but I’m a new card member so I don’t think I should.

Anyways, yes, I believe you have a very high chance of being approved.
