Pre-qualified for Delta Amex Gold

I'm pre-qualified for the Delta Amex Gold. Although it is not my preferred Amex card, it will allow me to get my foot in the door with Amex. Should I take my chances and apply for a card like BCP that better meets my needs or go with the sure thing of being approved for the Delta Gold?

I can always app for the card I want down the line as I establish a relationship with Amex.

Though Amex prequals are normally solid by no means would i call them sure things. Plenty people can attest to being denied after a prequal. To get better advice, please list your current credit profile like true Fico 8, hps, aaoa, any baddies etc. Without those we are tossing darts in the way

Only go for the Delta Gold if it's the best Welcome Offer you can find and you will find the SkyMiles and perks valuable.

I would also suggest just going for the card that best fits your wants and needs.

Would not cold app for the BCP if you prequal for delta cobranded cards have leas strict UW than core revolvers and could end up in a denial

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Delta Amex Gold, approved for $1k SL. As time goes on, I'll apply for other Amex products but for now happy to a member of the Amex family.
