Prime vs Sub-prime

First Premier is definately sub (closing as of 10/20/07) 12 months reporting

Cap 1 I am assuming is sub ($300 CL) - planning to close in Jul 08

CitiBank I am assuming is prime with CL of $2500

Are either of these 'prime'?  I haven't activated either yet so if not I will 'reject' them.  The CLs I can build or replace with a better card in a year - but I want only prime coding ASAP (and better CLs) ASAP.

HSBC Gold MC has a fee ($59) but 5% cashback (BT doesn't matter since I am paying off and closing not BTing).$500 CL

BestBuy Rewards MC - no fee, so-so rewards  $300CL

The lines of prime and subprime are blurred.  I judge my cars on the benefits they afford me.  I like mt BBMC simply because I am an electronics freak and the rewards certificates definitely come in handy.

I also have a HSBC CB masterCard but no AF and a 5k limit so I think there's some tiering going on there.

If a card does not fit your needs, it is time to move on.  I even found a use for Cap1 a 1.99% for life BT
