Hi everybody,
I need your help with this one. I had a credit card with chase from 1995 - 2004. in 2004, everything just went down hill including finances, did missed a few credit card bills until some went to collection. One of the credit card was Chase, the account was bought by an agency called Vision Nevada. In 2005, I paid everybody in town I owed money including (Chase) Vision Nevada. Now fast forward, I applied Chase Freedom credit card online and was denied so I looked in to calling the back door number to see whats going on with my application and asked to reconsider my app. The person I talked to was very helpful but here's the problem, the collection agency Vision Nevada never updated Chase system. Chase record say that the account was unpaid until now. I asked if I could talk to somebody to straighten the situation. I was redirected to chase recovery dept. and explained to them that I already paid Vision Nevada. Chase recovery asked me to check my credit history and told them I did already and I didn't see any files from Chase against me. Now I'm stuck in limbo, I have a Chase record stating that I never paid Vision Nevada. Vision Nevada is out of business to proved that I paid them. Chase can't change my record from unpaid to paid. And with these I could never ever get a credit card from Chase. What can I do now???? thanks in advance. thunder
Its my understanding with Chases new credit criteria.... paid or not they probably wouldn't give you a card again. or at least 10 years
Is there a way that you can provide Chase with cleared checks or bank statements that showed you paid the CA? It may not help you get a card right now if the above poster is correct, but it could help you clean up your record with them.
How about faxing chase and neveda the receipt and confirmation number you received when you paid?
One the wamu cards went into charge off and now it shows as chase since chase bought wamu. Does it mean chase will not consider me for any of their credit cards?
Yes that is my understanding.
My friend had an $8500 Wamu card that he closed a year after Chase took the account over in perfect standing. about 3 months later he applied for a Chase credit card and the application was declined because of a car loan 7 years ago that was included in bk. he tried to recon considering he just closed an 8500 cl with them and they said he would never be able to get a chase product again and he shouldn't have closed his card.
Hi thanks for posting, I'm in a process of checking bank statements. Most of the creditors I believe I issued them a cashier check. Right now, it doesn't matter whether or not they issue me a card. I just want to clear for the record that I paid.

Yes, it looks like you are the only one who can fix this. Hopefully, you can find the correct records to solve this once and for all. On a side note, I charged off a Providian card years ago which eventually changed to Wamu on my CRs. Of course now, the CRs state Chase even though I never had a Chase card. I wonder if they will allow me to have one when this record falls off this year. To the poster who mentioned 10 years above, where did you get that from?
because that's usually how long it's on your reports

May be you are right. Since the Wamu account showed on my CR as chase, every single application I applied is declined. I could not tell, if that is because of the wamu thing or just regular decline since I app for so many things. Now it makes sense it and it is probably due to wamu thing. I guess, I should just keep my chase freedom card with $5300 cl and stop knocking at the doors of chase for any thing in the future.
