I just canceled my 10-year-old Discover IT with a $50k limit because the card offers practically nothing in the way of benefits after the cutbacks they've made over the last few years. I did like the online identity monitoring -- available through the app only at the time I signed up -- but even that was rather weak as it wasn't comprehensive enough to make much of a difference. After I canceled they sent me a snotty note just saying that they had ended that service for me (duh). They sent me another snotty note saying that my checking account that had been registered for autopay was unreachable (because I disconnected it before canceling the card, duh). When I called to cancel the card and told the rep, she reacted as if I had just said I was going to murder a puppy. I always thought Discover's folksy branding was pretty lame. When you reject them they seem to take it personally and start acting like a spurned old crone. Poor Discover, I pity you.
That wont be a good quarter for me and Disco, haven't stepped foot in a wholesale club in over a decade, but we do take out once a week so at least that's a little something.
I order food pretty often but Amex Gold 4X > Disco 5%
I don't shop at wholesale clubs.
Last quarter wasn't useful to me either because for groceries 6% BCP > 5% Disco

Agree, i guess back to my apple card it is for grocerys.

You do realize that the 6% really becomes 4.4% after you account for the AF of the BCP, right? And that's only if you spend EXACTLY $6k on groceries annually
